Flu Clinics 2020 Posted on 8 Jun 2021

Over 65 Flu Clinics are now taking bookings, and we will be vaccinating from early September! Watch this space for the under 65 clinics, which will be up and running soon. We will be holding our clinics at Binstead Community Centre, located at Coniston Avenue, Binstead, PO33 3SB.

You will be invited by letter to make an apt and you need to bring the letter with you on the day of your booked Appointment. Please remember you must wear a mask to your appointment.

Please telephone the surgery at your earliest convenience to book your appointment quoting the reference FLUAD. To help our reception staff please phone after 2pm.

If you are totally housebound please advise us as soon as possible in order for us to update our records and ensure you are included in this year’s housebound vaccination programme. This will be happening later in the year.

If you decide not to have the vaccination please let us know so we can enter this on your medical records. If we have not heard from you by the 31st December 2020 we will assume that you do not wish to have your flu jab and will record it as a refusal on your notes.

If you are 18-65 and in a clinical ‘at risk’ group which is eligible for the flu vaccination, for example you have a health condition which puts you at risk from the flu, you will be invited very soon. Please await your invitation letter. Please note that, if you are aged between 50 and 64 and not in a clinical at risk group, the earliest you will be offered a flu vaccination is November, providing there is sufficient vaccine. No appointments will be offered for people in this age group until then. This is to ensure that those who are most at risk are vaccinated first.
