These times may be subject to variation due to out-of-hours commitments.
Extended Hours
We are able to offer prebooked appointments from 6.30 - 8.10pm on alternate Monday and Wednesday evenings and from 8.10 - 10.20am on Saturdays (please note that no other services are available during these times).
Out-Of-Hours
Emergencies - 0845 603 1007
Out-of-hours medical cover is provided
by participating Island GPs.
This service operates at the following times:
Weekday evenings and nights 6.30pm
- 8.00am
Saturday 8.00am until Monday morning 8.00am
To access the service, there are two routes: either phone the surgery on 0844 477 0940 (and select Option 1) or call the service direct on 0845 603 1007. Either route will connect you to a central location where all such calls are handled.
Patients must not turnn up at the Primary Care Centre unannouced - it is not a 'walk-in' facility. Ther service must always be phoned first.
If your needs cannot reasonably be defined as urgent or
an emergency case, please wait until after 8.00am on the next working day
before phoning your own doctor at the surgery.
Accident And Emergency
The nearest casualty department is at St Mary's Hospital, Newport - 524081. There is always a nurse on duty at the surgery who will be happy to deal with minor injuries during surgery hours.
NHS DIRECT
NHS Direct is a 24-hour, nurse-led
helpline, available to everyone in the UK.
Providing advice if you or a family member have a minor accident or illness, it
also has listings for local health services, such as dentists, doctors or out-of-hours
pharmacies. Whatever the time of day, you'll always have instant access
to a wide range of health information and advice - in fact, everything you need to get better, faster. Just call 0845 4647 anytime,
or visit www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk
Access for the Disabled
Surgery access has been redesigned
with the elderly and disabled in mind. Although the surgery is on two floors,
facilities are available for the elderly and disabled to be seen downstairs.
Parking
There is limited parking on the Esplanade, but there is a large public car park opposite.
